Cadence Church is moving!

We're moving! For four years we’ve enjoyed our space in the Prete Building, but it’s time for the next step. The reason comes down to stewardship and vision. Frankly, what we’re paying all week for a space we use a few hours is not a good investment of God’s resources. The space is small, and anyone who visits sees a church that appears to have a vision for about fifty people. We need room for more people, and smartest way to do that is to make a change of venue. Good options hadn’t been available, but God has opened a door for us!

New Beginnings Church in Westover has graciously agreed to rent their new church building to us on Sunday mornings. Starting Sunday, March 4, Cadence Church will begin having services there at 9:00am.

The terms of our current lease require us to move quickly. Here’s the schedule you’ll need for the days to come:

  • Feb. 19, 10:30am will be our last regular service in the Prete Building.
  • On Feb. 26, we will have a final service in our old building at the new time 9:00am. Afterwards, you’re invited to help us move final items to our new facility.
  • Our first service in the New Beginnings facility will be Sunday, March 4, at 9:00am.

We look forward to sharing these exciting times with you! We’d love to have your help packing and moving. Get in touch if you can help.

New Beginnings Church (and childcare center) is at 101 Metro Drive, Morgantown, West Virginia. If you’re coming from Morgantown, cross the Westover Bridge and go left on River Road. Go a mile, and take a left down the hill to the church just before the four-way stop.

Community leaf raking

Know someone in the community that could use help with their leaves (especially if they can’t do it themselves)? Let us know. Plan to rake with us as we share Christ’s love with others in a practical way.

Full – Part 3: The meek

Full seriesFew people would want to overhear a friend describe them as “meek”, yet Jesus says such a person will inherit the earth. The biblical idea of “meekness” is not  “powerlessness” like one might assume, though. It is power under control, and it is key to the Christian life.
